Golden Bear Grill in Fort Lauderdale

I have never seen such rapid service that wasn't a fast food place. The portion sizes were pleasing and the flavor of the curried chicken salad was good. Pleasing even I'd it wasn't in an airport.

Had the worst $25 burger and Pepsi in a long time - with a 30 minute wait, assuming due to overcooking the burger. Big waste of $$$ and already not feeling well 10 minutes after leaving.

AWFUL. My credit card was stolen and Olgo the supervisor was the least helpful customer service worker I have ever encountered. It is in an airport so we obviously had a flight to catch and she did everything in her power to not be helpful. When I took a picture of her so I could remember her, she told me I couldn’t “throw her picture”??? Is that English? Finally the Sheriff came and he suggested she have everyone check his or her pockets but she refused. How can an establishment hire such a person that would just accuse the victim!! And they still made me pay!!!

Horrible. Waited 10 minutes and still couldn't get a simple drink order. Sat down and forgotten.

Really bad service, food is overpriced and not very good. Worst part of the whole thing are there are roaches crawling on the floor....... very gross!!

This whole place was a mess. The hostess was so angry and rude. The place was way under staffed. The food was mediocre. They served my eggs hard as a rock and had to wait 30 minutes to get new eggs. There was a bug in my hot tea. They bussed everything to one table and left it covered in nasty plates. I would definitely avoid this place

The lobster quesadilla did not disappoint and the Margherita flatbread pizza was delicious. THAT BEING SAID, the Mac n cheese is terrible and should just be taken off the menu! It’s disrespectful to what real Mac n cheese tastes like. If you want to pay for an over priced boxed Mac n cheese for children, go right ahead.

Food is okay but pricey. Service was very slow at the beginning, then the lady that was my server started taking my order and being fast and nice.

Sub par food. Expensive for what you get. Auto 18% tip, and they round up if you pay cash.

I would highly recommend choosing a different spot to grab a bite at the FLL airport. The service was terrible (no water refills after 20 minutes). It also took forever to get our checks. The lady behind us had to stand up and tap the waiter on the shoulder because she had been waiting 15+ minutes to place her order. I ordered their butter leaf salad which was so smothered in dressing that I couldn't even finish it (this is coming from someone that normally likes alot of dressing).

Crooks. They do not follow the law. They for real charge you gratuity automatically and didn’t not have it written on their menu. I pretty much tipped way extra because they decided not to follow the proper laws and who know how many guest over tipped and did not see they gratuity added since they do t have it on the menu and they actually hope you don’t see it. This needs to be corrected and is a huge violation. Don’t go there!!

I finally was able to check out Golden Bear Grill in Terminal 3 at FLL. I tried all kinds of dishes with my table, but my favorite things were the chicken parm, Barbara's Meatloaf, the buckeyes and the strawberry shortcake. The chicken parm was amazing. The red sauce has delicious hints of basil. I would never normally order a meatloaf dish but this one was special! It's baked and then grilled and wrapped in bacon. Anything grilled and wrapped in bacon is going to hit the spot!! The sauce it's drizzled with is also incredible. Because I have a sweet tooth, I loved the buckeyes and the strawberry shortcake. The buckeyes were enormous and also had a caramel glaze at the bottom which I've never seen before. The strawberry shortcake is served on a biscuit--super interesting! The service was quick and the restaurant has lots of comfortable chairs for travelers to relax. I would absolutely recommend coming here for a bite.

Decent food, but the staff is more involved in their personal lives than the customers. My husband had to flag down the waitstaff for another customer because they were too busy chatting to notice. One of the cooks eating fries on the line/kitchen.

No complaints with the food, except for it being EXTREMELY OVERPRICED (2 meals and 4 beers=$100). The service is slow and they factor in an automatic 18% gratuity so there is no initiative from the wait staff to refill glasses, pick up dirty plates or anything above and beyond what is minimally expected from them.

Horrendous food, worst I’ve had in my entire life. Service was great, although that didn’t save the meal.

Staff was yelling at each other like it was Hell’s Kitchen. It was very loud and uncomfortable for the diners. Food was so so, would not spend the money here again

Found a full roach in mash potatoes and roach legs in macaroni. Yummy.

The service was nothing short of amazing here. Our server said order whatever you want and if you don't like it, I'll take it back. Everything was delicious. The portions were very large. The prices were a little high but we're in the airport. What do you expect. I would come back here.

I had a question about something on the menu the hostess could not answer my question. She asked my to wait while she could find out. The gentleman she asked said it would a second. She proceed to seat everyone in line behind me and then told me I had a 20 minute wait for a table. The staff had a “get them in and out” mentality. They had little knowledge about menu options and eventually had to refer the manager for a simple question. Typically I don’t write negative reviews but some of the worst service I’ve experienced at any restaurant. Some of the staff was polite but it didn’t have that every customer counts atmosphere. It had the “if you don’t sit someone else will” sort of feel. Not a fan.

Waited more than 15 minutes no one came to help when we ask for the manager she was sitting in the back on her phone no apologies she just wanted to know who was supposed to be serving our table. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ..... ZERO stars I have a video should I post it?

Busy airside restaurant in Terminal E. Basic fare with something for everyone. The bar was full midday. Jumping off point for tropical vacations. Lots of happy faces. Waitstaff were busy but friendly enough.

Hair in both my son and wife food. My son utensils were also dirty. This place needs to have sanitary inspections done.

The place was super busy but got us seated after a 15 minute wait. No worries there. The food was decent for an airport restaurant but my major complaint was about a charge for a drink. My daughter ordered a 7 and 7. Seagrams 7 is bottom shelf bourbon, nothing fancy. The waiter charged us $16.77 for that drink. The receipt said Canadian Club and the waiter explained that is just the way they ring it up. I asked him if he knew a 7 and 7 was a mixed drink. A shot or two of booze and 7 up. He said yes, he mixed it himself. Wow... buyer beware.

Friendly staff, our order came quickly and we made our flight.

1. This is an airport. 2. Given 1, anticipate higher $ and lower quality. Having stated those two obvious facts, this isn't bad. I went here for dinner by myself at 5:30pm on a Thursday while waiting for a flight. I got seated right away and was served promptly after. Food was hot and cooked well. I ordered steak medallions (medium) and a glass of wine. Everything came within reasonable time (+-15,20 minutes) and was good. Service was sub-par but I get why. So consider points 1 and 2 and then make your decision on rating.

It's an airport restaurant, so expectations should be low. Meals run ~$10-$16, diner-style food but no diner-style choices. Less than 8 meal choices(again, airport restaurant). The food is still very underwhelming. Somehow the food seems old and stale even when ordering at 6:30AM. Service was fast, and the staff seem nice enough. It's worth mentioning that the decor here is AWFUL. Typically the atmosphere of a place is barely worth mentioning, but the unbridled narcissism of this place is disgusting. EVERY wall of this place is plastered with Jack Nickalaus' frumpy old rich white guy face doing frumpy old rich white guy stuff. Here he is golfing. Here christmasing with his family. There he is ruining the economy and climate for the next generation. And oh look there he is with his dog; how humanizing. 3 out of 5 for an airport restaurant.

Great food and serviceI was a little hesitant after reading all the negative reviews but ended up stopping here anyway. Food was great. My club sandwich was huge and delicious. Same for my wife's beef sliders. Drinks were great and service was top notch.

Terrible service . The Spanish manager was so rude to us . delayed opening the restaurant for another 20 min . Got in they didn’t have anything really on the menu. All breakfast items are 14 dollars plus . Breakfast burrito 13.49 omelet 15.49

Was that the worst dining experience or what? If I could give zero star I would. 1. No vegan options but greeter & server seem to think granola with Greek yogurt and milk is vegan.2. I opted for the only choice (a side of home fries potatoes) and server insisted the portion was small so I ordered 2, only to end up with 2 dinner size orders of dry tasteless potatoes. 3. The server attitude was rude and short. She offered refill on coffee to my dining partner and acted like I was not at the table. The only question she posed to me after the dry potatoes came was if I was finish so she can clear the table. SMH Needless to say that will be my first and last time.

Took over half an hour to get food. $130 for five people. asked a few times for something. mac and cheese was cold and hot meaning they microwaved it. avoid this place

It is a pretty nice and friendly place at the terminal. I just ordered a drink, and my server Sam was incredibly kind and did a great him & soda! Prices were very good for an airport joint.

Fantastic service! Lidice took amazing care of us and the food was really good. This will be our stop whenever we fly through Ft. Lauderdale!!!

We had breakfast there 2 days before the grand opening on our trip to Hawaii.The food, speed and service was good.

This was the quickest service I've ever had that wasn't a fast food restaurant. The portions are pleasing. The curry chicken salad was tasty and filling. The heirloom tomato capreese salad was not skimping on quantity or thickness of the cut, but it wasn't as great of quality as the greatness of the plate would suggest.

Worst airport restaurant ever - slow waite staff, lack luster breakfast. Yogurt was tart, berries and fruit weren't ripe, potatoes were dry and tasteless. Overall, unimpressed. Save your money and pack a granola bar.

Good food. The staff is a little rude but the food was great. We had about an hour for our boarding to start and were hungry. We went for Artichoke and Goat Cheese Pizza with a side of Sweet Potato Wedges. The pizza was great. The crust was quite thin and crispy. The overall flavors or artichoke, goat cheese and other veggies came together very well. Sweet potato wedges were also great. The service was quite slow and the staff wasn't really courteous. Luckily we were not in rush, so the slow service wasn't so much of a concern for us since we were there to kill the time. However, if someone is in a little hurry, this place is not a good one, at least for dine in. You may do a takeaway instead.

Food was passable. Server added 18% gratuity on my check without notifying me. I did not check, because it is not customary to auto-add grat on a single check. Parties or 6 or 8 or more, totally understandable. But for a single person? Perhaps I'm just bitter because it wasn't pointed out to me, I didn't notice it, and then tipped on top of it. Either way I think it's a shady practice and I'll avoid this place in the future. Server's name was Lynn.

Pretty good options in a barren terminal E. Normal airport pricing with good vegetarian options. We elected to have the Brussels sprouts, Impossible Burger, and the goat cheese artichoke flat bread. The flat bread was good, but would have been better if it was made of normal pizza crust vs. what appeared to be a big cracker.Updating rating as it was extremely difficult to find a server to close out a check. Also, 18% gratuity is automatically added to the check for your awareness.

Way too overpriced—- even for airport standards! The food quality was mediocre. I believe I spent $13.99 for a margarita pizza which was only a small step up from that served in a junior high school!Plus side: The staff does work hard to try to turn tables during busy hours. Key lime pie was very good!

I’m sure this place is good, I envied at least 2 meals I would’ve loved to eat. The service I had did not provide an opportunity to feel comfortable enough to order. I arrived 15 minutes before they closed (I know short time)but I didn’t know at the time they were closing as I had just gotten through customs and I was looking for something to eat... my servers name was Roy; he was rude in his greeting because I wasn’t seated by a host (there wasn’t a host and I’m sorry I saw no sign if there was one) I am a server, I understand bad days or not enjoying your job sometimes or even being annoyed when people come in close to last call...I GET IT. but there are better ways to talk to guests that come into the establishment you work at. I hope if I ever have to come to Fort Lauderdale airport again I can return to this place and get respectful service...

Not bad airport food. Would recomend that they heat the chicken up in their chicken sandwich though.

One star because my goat cheese and artichoke flatbread was good. But my husbands chicken club was cold but I thought ‘that’s ok you can eat chicken cold’ and he said it was so cold it must be intentional. Welp he got food poisoning and spent our entire 4 day vacation in bed and the bathroom.... so thanks for ruining our vacation with bad food.

I eat here regularly because I fly from this terminal often, the 3 egg homelet is pretty good

The food was good . That’s what the stars are for . The bartender Laura was very cold to me but friendly to the men . I am an easy friendly person . Apparently she is not .
